Sarnyenneh M. Dickson, Esq.
Personal Profile
Sarnyenneh M. Dickson is the acting executive director of SAWABENU and is a graduate of the University of Liberia. He studied Economics and Law, in addition to other professional diplomas and certificates he acquired from learning institutions across Africa and Europe in governance, accountability and extractive industries management. Over the course of eighteen years of work, his experience covers governance, integrity building, access to information and justice, and extractive industries governance activities, including the practice of law and participation in many local and international discussions.
During his life in civil society between 2005 and 2014, amongst many achievements, he worked with the teams of lawyers and civil society actors that drafted the Whistleblower Protection Bill, including sections of the Code of Conduct Bill, and provided leadership to the campaign that caused Liberia’s accession to UNCAC. In senior management roles, he led program and research work at CENTAL, National Integrity Forum and LEITI. He served the Carter Center’s Rule of Law Program as a Program Officer and provided consultancy service to other INGOs in Liberia. Mr. Dickson is a member of the Liberian National Bar Association and currently serves as the Secretary of the Sinoe County Bar Association.
